About Us...

Ty and I are currently living in Franklin, TN. Ty is working at Nissan here in Franklin and I am enjoying life as a mom of two little boys.

Thanks for joining us in our excitement and being there to support us during this time. You all mean so much to us and we are looking forward to you building memories with us and our little family :)

Snow!

We are pretty excited because it snowed last night. I know that it isn't a big deal for most of you, but for us here in Nashville it only happens (maybe) once a year. Asher was mesmerized by looking out the window at the snowflakes. Ty noticed this cool shadow that the tree in our backyard was making in the moonlight and snow. So, he took this at about 11pm last night. I had to share because I think it is pretty neat. I have a talented hubby... don't you think :) We have to take pictures because the snow will probably be gone by the end of today. But, school was closed for our county today (buses on the back curvy, hilly roads that haven't been plowed is not a good situation), so it is fun to see all the kids playing and making snowmen today while it is still here. Happy Holidays!

Asher, 6 months old

Asher is 6 months old. It is a pretty big milestone. He is sitting mostly on his own, laughing a lot and even trying to stand on his own. We are getting ready for Christmas here and just put up our tree. Maybe it will even be a white Christmas here in Nashville... we will see.

Thanksgiving

We were able to travel and see precious family during the holiday. (Although the trip is getting longer and longer.) It was full of wonderful people and food. A few of our favorites were the deep-fried turkey, sweet potato casserole, and of course the amazing hospitality!! We have so so much to be thankful for. Here are a couple pictures. One of our family and one of Asher's first wish-bone. He ended up pulling it apart finally but he held one end with his right hand and the other end with his left hand. So I guess that means he got his wish... I wonder what he wished for :)
Asher is excited about next Thanksgiving when he can partake in all of the wonderful food. It was so great seeing you all. We love you!

Asher's Dedication

Asher was dedicated this Sunday. It was a wonderful service. All of Asher's grandparents were there. It was very very special to have them all there to support us. He was such a good boy through the entire service. We are often told that our next one won't be as good... Asher has spoiled us :)
Dedicating a child can be pretty sobering. It is more for us as parents then for Asher. Ty and I promised, with God's help, to give Asher the opportunity to know Jesus as we do. We hope that you will help us in this big responsibility. Thanks so much for all of your support, love and prayers that you have given to our family.

Asher started rolling over, and maybe teething over the past week. As you can see in the picture he has started another new thing where he likes to stick out his tongue. Hopefully the 'sticking out his tongue' is not a long phase :)

Laughing Video

We finally caught some laughter on video! It was this weekend while Ty was painting our foyer wall and I was playing with Asher. Hope you enjoy...

Solid Food

Asher tried 'solid food' for the first time this weekend. He did not spit it out once... he loved it. I think he would have kept eating as long as I was willing to feed him:) It was a special moment. I hope you enjoy some of these pictures.

Asher, 5 months old

I decided to try my hand at some video. So, here is a little taste of Asher 'in action'. He is laughing pretty often now, I will try to get some video of him laughing up soon. Please disregard the bad cinematography... I will get better.
It is funny, as I have been looking at Asher over the last couple days, I am starting to see him less and less like a baby. He will be a toddler soon. I am excited to see him grow up but I have really been enjoying this stage too :) He loves to grab at things now, especially his feet! He is also starting his drooling stage, and also he loves to put things in his mouth an chew on them. He does not suck his thumb, but chews on his fingers. Maybe he is teething, but I think it is a little early for that. His other favorite thing to do is to scratch on things. He will scratch on the side of his car seat in the car in a steady... scratch... scratch... scratch rhythm. Ty says that he has good rhythm. Maybe we will try him on the piano next :)
