I am currently 32 weeks along. Good news is that my cramps/contractions have become less frequent as I have been on bed rest. The intensity is about the same when they do come. I had a routine doctor's appointment for a check-up today. They didn't measure the amniotic fluid level again, but I go to the hospital on Wednesday morning to have that done. My tummy measurement is measuring at full-term size due to my high level of amniotic fluid. They put me on monitors and saw that I was having contractions every 6 minutes. So, as a precaution, they sent me to the hospital to evaluate me further and to take a test to determine the likelihood that I will go into pre-term labor in the next two weeks. The test came back negative, so there is a high chance that I will NOT go into labor in the next 2 weeks... great news!! They decided at this point to extend my bed rest for 2 weeks. We will re-evaluate things when that ends on May 2nd. After I am 34 weeks along they are less concerned about the baby being born early.
My boss is letting me work from home currently and I have a conversation lined up with him on Wed to talk about how long that will last since my bed rest has been extended. So, that has been a blessing. Another great thing that came out of today was that since we went to the Labor & Delivery unit of the hospital I was able to ask some of the questions I had about delivering at Duke Hospital. I had been so focused on delivering in Nashville, that I hadn't taken the time to find out about delivering here in Durham if that were to happen. My tummy feels very tight pretty much all of the time, but I am so thankful that the number of contractions has gone down since I have been limiting my activity. I am also so thankful for my husband. Ty has been so great through this, juggling classes, taking care of me, taking care of everything around the house and arranging all of the details to close on our new house in Franklin soon.
Thank you again for your support and prayers. I will write another update soon. I hope that they determine on Wednesday that my fluid level has either decreased or at least stabilized.

Hi Amy,
I'm really enjoying your website. I sure was hoping baby Webb would be born on June 14th as that's my wedding day. But the important thing is for him to be healthy. I am praying for all three of you. Don't be concerned about having him early. Bobby was a premie and he turned out just fine :o)
Pam
Poor girl, you are having a rough time. I am sorry! I know how much you worry when your a mom about every little thing! I am sure your little "Jim Bob" (That's what I am calling him now), will be very handsome and perfect when he makes his arrival. We are thinking of you everyday! Love, The Maynerich!
