Great Friends...

Last night I was sitting on the couch talking to Ty on the phone and there was a knock on the door. I wasn't expecting any company (as was evident by my outfit and my hair!). Since I have been on bed rest for over two weeks now, I tend to dress comfy instead of cute. Anyway... my parents are here while Ty is in Nashville this weekend and my mom answered the door. In walked in all of my sweet sweet friends from Bible Study. They came over to surprise me with a baby shower!!!!! I was so suprised and touched! I had just found out that day that my boss wants me to finish up with work by the end of today (Friday) and start using sick leave. So, I had been a little down all day compounded by the fact that I was also thinking about the fact that I probably wouldn't get to say good bye to anyone before I left.
It was a great surprise. I LOVED seeing them and the shower was so fun! They brought everything food, gifts, activities, great company, etc. They did this very neat thing where they brought onesies and iron-on patterns. Everyone embroidered a cute little picture on a onesie during the party. They turned out way cute - - I have some very talented friends :) I loved having the time to just sit around with them and talk. This group of girls are all wives of Ty's classmates, so we will all be going separate ways soon. It was so great to be able to have this special time with them. I will remember it always.
