Last week my wonderful Grandpa Kelly passed away. Ty, Asher and I just got back from IN for his funeral. My grandfather was a special, special man. He raised 5 daughters, worked sometimes up to 3 jobs at a time, even cooked dinner most nights and still had time for his family. As busy as he was, he never worked on Sunday. God was a priority for him and that was evident in the way he lived his life. Grandpa Kelly had amazing and rare character. He never wanted to hear anything negative said about anyone. He cherished his family and loved his wife intensely. Up until his last days he spoke of how his wife was the most beautiful woman in the world. I have learned a lot from my Grandfather and from the strong marriage that he had with my Grandmother.
Grandpa Kelly got to meet Asher twice. Grandpa was as enthralled with meeting Asher and Asher was of meeting his Great Grandpa. I wish that Asher had gotten a chance to really know his Great Grandpa, but maybe during the time that Asher spend in his arms he was able to feel Grandpa's strength and love in a way that will stick with him.
Grandpa Kelly... we love you and will miss you very very much.

Amy, I am in tears reading this post. What a special man and I am so glad your Grandpa got to meet Asher...what a blessing! We'll be praying for you and your family. We love you guys.
Thank you Amy for your comforting words about Dad (your grandpa). He was an amazing man, and I am glad you got to know him as such, so that you will relay this to your children as they grow up. I know how happy it made him when you came to visit him and grandma. Family was always very important to him
Love you,
Aunt Sherry
